FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Scott Gummow Kitchens – Scott Gummow Kitchens in Bowen, QLD
  • How long does a kitchen take to build?

From the acceptance of our design proposal and quotation, it usually takes four to six weeks to install your new kitchen. If, however, you need a faster turnaround, we can usually adjust our schedule to suit.

  • How much does a new kitchen cost?

This depends on the size, style and finish you have in mind. For instance a 'two pack' kitchen would cost up to 50% more than a laminated kitchen of the same design but, generally speaking, most customers find that the price quoted is not nearly as expensive as they had expected.

  • I have heard that generic-style kitchen cupboards available from some hardware chain stores are a more affordable alternative.

Wrong! On most occasions that we have been asked to provide a comparative quote our prices are actually less expensive but with the advantage of being purpose-built to a specific size as opposed to standard 'off the floor' units. We are more than happy to build cupboards on a supply-only basis but remember installation is not as easy as it is may sound; a non-professional installation can make a huge difference to the final appearance.

  • We'd like to install built-in wardrobes but are not sure what kind. Where do we start?

Scott Gummow Kitchens can build and install a range of robes in different types of materials and finishes. All you need to do is choose a style and colour that best suits your décor and we'll do the rest.

  • We're completely renovating our home, so it's important that the kitchen and other joinery items are installed on the date planned to fit in with other trades. Can you assure us that this will happen?

Of course! This is standard procedure for us. If we say we'll be there at a certain time and a certain day, we'll be there.
